This is it, we are casting off, and this time this is for real. Heading for new horizons, new oceans, new continents. It seems that gannets are more blue than yellow in the Pacific, we feel it is urgent to go and see this more closely!
For this adventurous journey, we can count onour boat, a brave Cordova 40 named UtPåTur. Ut-pôô-what??? UtPåTur, pronounced ut pô tur. Oh really? Yes, our 12 years of living in Norway are coming out here: ut på tur literally means out on a tour, but it is above all an attitude, a philosophy of life that suits us remarkably well. Ut på tur, aldri sur says the saying: out hiking, never sulking. Ut på tur, our answer to about everything!
On this site you will find detailed articles of our adventures, the Logbook of the journey, as well as more succinct news on our interactive map.

Beyond just another sailing project
We are Camille and Laure, and he behind is UtPåTur. Camille has been passionate about sailing since childhood, Laure has always dreamed of traveling the world, so it’s decided, we will travel by boat! And it’s been almost 20 years already…
On board our first boat Saltimbanque, a glorious Brise de Mer 28, we have already achieved some really cool sailing projects, particularly in Northern Europe, and of course a grand tour around the Atlantic which planted the stubborn thought of not stopping there.
But this time it’s different. This time we don’t have to stick to a very precise itinerary, constantly optimized to sail as much as possible in a given timeframe before having to go back to work. This time we change the rules of the game and we go live on a boat, with no return date, everything is up to us.
For this new life, we will be three, both of us and UtPåTur of course! The very first Cordova 40, it was designed, built, fitted out, and skippered for 10 years by Jean-François and Sylvie André between Europe and Canada. It was love at first sight when we met. This boat quickly appeared to us as the perfect traveling companion, in particular by the philosophy of its design and its equipment: simple, robust but nevertheless comfortable enough to live on board for many years.
We have now quit our jobs, sold our house, nothing is holding us back on land. We are free to go frolicking out to sea, ut på tur really!
